We Love KC Photo Contest - April Winners
Thank you to everyone who participated in our first ever We Love KC Photo Contest! We received so many amazing photographs of the beautiful city we are proud to call home. The photos were collected and the public voted on their favorites.
Congratulations to our top three winning photographs!
First Place Winner - Nighttime KCMO
Description: This seems to be one of the most popular spot for taking pictures in KCMO - a picture of Union Station taken from the Liberty Memorial. This was my attempt to diverge from the ordinary snapshot into making it an extraordinary photograph for the ReeceNichols Photo Contest!
Second Place Winner - Timeless KC
Description: Union Station stands as a testimony to KC’s resilience and steadfastness. In its prime, the station saw hundreds of passengers boarding trains and returning from their travels. A sight like this, a man kissing his wife after having waited for her while she was away, might have not been that uncommon. Today, the station doesn’t see as much train traffic, but it stands as a memorial and a meeting place. My husband and I first met at Union Station. This picture sings of the treasure Union Station is in our hearts: a KC icon of beauty and romance.
Third Place Winner - Downtown KC
Description: I took this photo on the day of game 7 of the World Series.
Do you have a great photo of KC? We are excited to announce the second round of the We Love KC Photo Contest will begin July 1. We look forward to seeing your photos soon!
